I would like to remind all of the working mamas out there that it might be a good idea to give your daycare teachers a gift this holiday season. And, gift cards are always the way to go.
So far this year I have given my daycare providers cookies (see yesterday's post), and on Wednesday they are getting a little something else special. Here is what I wrote inside each teacher's card...
Dear Miss ...
Merry Christmas! Thank you for being such a fun teacher. Please enjoy a "time out" on me!
Love, Jackson
Inside the card are 2 movie passes for AMC Theaters. Each teacher will also get a box of Dots (hello, the best movie theater candy ever).
How is this even affordable for 4 daycare teachers you ask? Well, if you have a Costco card, use it people. I was able to get 2 tickets each for $16 at Costco. Now, that's a good deal.
I also found these super cute pack of 12 snowman cards for only $1.25 at Michaels Craft Store.
Now if you don't want to spend that much money (or can't afford to), a nice card and a $5 gift card to Starbucks would be a great present. Basically you are buying them break and a cup of warmth during the stressful holiday season.
I hope you all are able to get your teachers a little something this holiday season. And no, I'm not saying this because I'm a teacher myself by the way. I actually work in advertising.

Gift Idea: O Holy Night
It's officially December and in my mind, officially Christmas time. Throughout this month I'm going to reveal some fun and affordable gifts. Perhaps it will help you figure out what to give that person who "has it all."
I recently came across the cd O Holy Night (CD/DVD)
that I think a lot of people will enjoy this holiday season.
My mom actually played me a song from the cd without showing me the cover first. It was a beautiful and unique voice; something special that many ears can appreciate.
My mom asked me "who do you think this is?" I had no idea of course. I'll admit, I mostly listen to indie rock hispter music as my husband likes to call it.
I guessed it to be an older woman. Nope, apparently it's this young girl that was on America's Got Talent. Now, I don't really watch that show, but o holy crap this little girl can sing! Her voice is amazing for a girl her age!

Apparently her parents and voice coach do not let her sing pop because it would ruin her voice. Thank goodness. We have enough awful pop already and it would be a tradegy for this voice to disappear.
This would make a wonderful Christmas gift for someone that likes to relax with a cup of tea and listen to music. I highly recommend O Holy Night (CD/DVD)
and it's highly affordable.
Happy shopping!
